What is the program?

The UNT Starter Kit program is a special new online program for all incoming first-year undergraduate students. You’ll get to know the school and your fellow students, get insider tips for success, and earn gift cards to great places on and around campus.

Who can participate?

All incoming first-year undergraduate students at UNT can join the program by attending a live, 1-hour Zoom event this summer. Students must be 18 at the time of the Zoom event to participate (students who are under 18 can email support@UNTStarterKit.org for more information).

What do I need to do?

You’ll need to join a live, 1-hour Zoom event this summer (register here) and you can pick one of the following event times:

• Thu Jul 13 from 12:00-1:00 pm CDT
• Fri Jul 14 from 12:00-1:00 pm CDT
• Mon Jul 17 from 12:00-1:00 pm CDT
• Wed Jul 19 from 10:00-11:00 am CDT
• Wed Jul 26 from 7:00-8:00 pm CDT
• Fri Jul 28 from 12:00-1:00 pm CDT
• Fri Aug 18 from 12:00-1:00 pm CDT

After the Zoom event, you’ll receive follow-up communications from the program via text with tips for how to succeed at UNT and opportunities to earn gift cards throughout the fall semester.

What will I get for participating?

You’ll have opportunities to earn rewards and entry into a raffle for a $500 gift card to the UNT bookstore.

Will I be charged for the program?

No. This program is absolutely free.

Is the program for all first-year students?

Yes! All incoming first-year undergraduate students at UNT are strongly encouraged to participate in the program.
